How to Find Profitable Niches Free

Among the better “secrets” to IM or Internet marketing is to come up with a under looked niche market – and deliver your loyal readers with products and info the want.

Stuff they are ALREADY interested in! Not such a big “secret” now, is it? The idea or “secret” sounds childlike enough, but I discover that for many people, the actual process of searching and locating your optimum niche market can be more challenging and a pain in the butt along with finding and locating the juicy page ranking keywords that will need to support your niche for great page rank placement.

Remember, you want good keywords so that you will eventually get a good placement in the eyes of Google thus creating traffic thus creating loyal readers thus creating sales! Are you already familiar with this process? If so, skip the rest of this article and good luck !

Ha! Still here, huh?

  Just as I thought!

You see, even though many of you have a general idea of how to find a niche and many of you have no clue, I am glad you decided to keep reading on here at BlogTools.biz because one way or another, You are here for a reason. :)

Lets get started: Finding a Niche Market

Lets keep this simple. When you are looking for a niche market do you:

1. Look for the 1st thing that comes to mind?

2. Do a quick “Clickbank” or “Commission Junction” search on the most profitable affiliate programs that pay the most and then create a blog or web site on those products?

3. Search the Internet for what other people are already doing?

If you answered “YES” to any of the above then you need to Keep reading… For starters, I have done all 3 of the above several times! I am no GURU even though I hope to be one day. (lol)… I have taken the first thing that came into my mind several times before in the past without doing any research which eventually got me in a little trouble.

I will tell you what I did. I purchased a domain name many years ago that already had a well established company keyword in the URL. I created an entire web site out of this domain name thinking that I would get tons of traffic and rake in the big bucks because of their name that was already copywrited. I thought if I just changed a few letters here and there that my domain name would be unique enough to be ok.

Well, it wasn’t and I eventually got a phone call from this company saying to remove my site from the Internet or else!… Yes, I did remove it and in the process I learned a big lesson. NEVER EVER do that and always check copyright names before you buy a domain name! I was stupid at that time in my life and was trying to take short cuts. There are NO SHORT CUTS in niche marketing.

My point here is that you must always do your niche research before moving onto the next step.

2nd, I also fell into this trap of immediately going to “Clickbank” or “Commission Junction” to create a site on the most profitable product out there. Of course, i did not research the product at all and did not even look at the landing page (which was horrible) ! Yes , i made a few sales but my technique was immature and created a “dead end” for my marketing strategy which by the way, was horrible as well.

My point here is that just because products are offering 75% commissions for selling their product, You still must research that particular product and landing page.

  • Are people returning that product?
  • Are there a million “Up-Sells” that come along with purchasing the product?
  • If they claim it is too easy to make money, it probably is garbage and I would recommend staying far away from it as possible.

Again, Research and more Research !!! 3rd, I’ve Searched the Internet and literally “copied and pasted” someone elses idea onto my site and changed a few things here and there. Now, there is nothing wrong with borrowing some ones idea and improving it but never copy and paste directly onto your site.

That is a big “NO-NO” ! ! !

My point here is that maybe it is time to come up with your own idea if you are having trouble making sales or getting traffic to your site! Here are some suggestions that may help but only if you IMPLEMENT them into your marketing strategies: Creating Your Own Niche Web site or Blog

1. Get away from your computer.

2. Grab a piece of paper and pen.

3. Start to jot down 10 ideas that you enjoy talking about or have some knowledge about.

4. Break those ideas up into categories: a) Things I enjoy talking to people about b) Things I want to learn in life c) Web sites I love to read and visit

5. When you have your list, get a yellow highlighter marker and highlight the keywords that stick out the most to you.

6. Come up with a domain URL that you can purchase with your new niche and buy it.

7. Start your new Blog and start posting with at least 3-4 articles a week. (2 the first day)

8. Create sub-categories on each topic so that you can write 3-4 separate articles per category in the future. (this way, you will not run out of things to post in the beginning) After some time, people will start to join your feed and leave comments.

When you respond, and you MUST respond if you want to build an audience, remember to include at the bottom of your “reply” that you encourage feedback and commenting.

*This will help engage your readers to commenting more thus giving you more opportunities to create more posts and articles on your niche*

Do not worry if your niche is already taken. It probably is already due to over-saturation of the Internet and marketing. The key around this is to make your blog stand out more than the next persons. Create content that “Grabs” your readers attention. Create awesome Titles! Start your titles out with a “How to….” I would like to end this article on this very important note:

Remember:

Blogging should be fun and enjoyable! If you find yourself stressing over creating a niche or content for that niche, maybe its time to get out of that topic and choose another? There is NOTHING wrong with starting over! I have done it many times and so have many others including the big shot “Gurus”… You will make mistakes along the way and that is ok too! Many of Peoples Greatest Discoveries Have Come Form Their Greatest Mistakes !!

Thank You, Dave “The Blogger“….
